As well as teaching yoga, Taravajra is also very actively involved in teaching people to meditate and learn mindfulness. He has taught in many locations including within the NHS for staff at Brighton General hospital. Taravajra has completed a masters degree in mindfulness based approaches to health care from Bangor University. This is an approach to mental health through mindfulness first pioneered by Jon Kabat - Zinn in America. For more details see www.bangor.ac.uk/mindfulness. Taravajra is now an accredited teacher for the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University. This combination is highly traditional! He runs 10 week courses in Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). He has been teaching meditation for many years and is a very experienced teacher of MBCT courses.
